Rafetto Orthodontics, had an oversized, overstuffed bear in the waiting room of his office. It sat there greeting every patient who came though the door and added an air of fun and warmth to the practice.

Dr. Gregory had appreciated the bear and the personal touch it added to the atmosphere of the dental office. When Dr. Gregory
opened his practice in the Pike Creek area, Dr. Rafetto asked what he could send as a congratulatory gift. Dr. Gregory wanted to add a feeling of friendliness to his office and said,

“Well, I like that bear you have in your waiting room. He’d be a great fit!” Dr. Rafetto generously sent a bear just like his own.

Since then, this bear has become an important part of Dr. Gregory’s team. The bear helps preschool children learn to brush their own teeth by practicing on his smile, and he greets patients and helps them relax with his friendly and familiar face.

In fact, the bear has become the mascot of our Wilmington practice, exemplifying the spirit of care and friendliness Dr. Gregory’s office embraces every day. As people pass by our office, they can see the bear waving to them through the front window as he sits in an operatory chair.
